Xiaomi developing new versions of its custom theme or overlay , MIUI, a independent from major upgrade in Android. The next version of of MIUI is MIUI 11, which has been in under development since Jan-19. And company planing to upgrade of its 9 devices to Android Q.
The next MIUI 11 will come with better icons and animations. Besides this it will be optimized for battery and improved performance with system-wide dark theme. Yet the release of MIUI 11 has not been finalized but Xiaomi has informed about the availability of Android Q on smartphone like Mi Mix3, Redmi K20 Series, Mi 9 and seven Others.
Xiaomi has made announcement on the Forums in China, detailing about the availability of the stable version of Android Q. According to the post following smartphones from Xiaomi and Redmi are eligible for update:
In Quarter-4 2019:
- Xiaomi Mi 9
- Xiaomi Mi 8
- Redmi K20 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 8Screen Fingerprint edition
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s
- Redmi k20
- Xiaomi Mi 9 SE
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
In Quarter-1 2020 :
- Redmi Note 7 Pro
- Redmi Note 7
After the launch of Android Q beta for non pixel devices, there will be made available for the Mi MIX 3 and MI 9 , while the others Redmi K20 pro will be added after that. So, those devices are expected are prioritized over the others in the list for up gradation.
It was also mentioned that this schedule apples only to the Chinese variants. but the Availability of Android Q for Indian / Global Variants is not cleared by now. How ever we expect the global update will come after few week of Chinese release. The company also expressed that the schedule of releasing is rough estimates.and so the update may change in case of unforeseen hiccups. It is under process for update to Android Q.
